Dan Bancila (born 1943, Bucharest, Romania), visual artist specialized in glass and metal.He graduated in 1969 the Fine arts Institute "Nicolae Grigorescu", Bucharest, Romania, and is known for his glass, crystal and bronze art works. He has exhibited extensively in Romania and abroad, including the Japan Glass Fair in Tokyo (1987), the Contemporary Glass and Crystal Sculptures in Liege, Belgium (1989), the renowned Corning Museum of Glass in the United States (1979), and the London Decorative Arts, England (1981).In 2001, he was awarded The Order "Rang of Comandor" from the President of Romania, and in 2003, the Prize of the Romanian Union of Visual Artists. His works can be seen in museums in Valencia - Spain, Corning - New York, Rome - Italy, Kassel Coburg - Germany, Bucharest - Romania and the Glasmuseet Ebeltoft Museum in Denmark.
